Belt of Fire Giant Strength Flame Echo Tablet A large tablet containing a fragment of the Giantish text carved into the wall of Duke Morkon's forge. The Giantish is, as customary, written in Dethek script (as also used when writing Dwarvish, Gnomish, Orcish, Ghukliak and Terran). The tablet also contains a transliteration in Draconic script and a translation in a formal and red-dialectal variety of the Draconic language. The text fragment is an initiatory instruction on the application of magical runes onto martial gear, including two runes. *This item can be used by a character to multiclass into a Rune Knight.* Additional text: In Draconic and Giantish: "These runes were carved by Ruborah, apprentice and squire of lord Morkon. May they tell of her devotion to the jotun art into which she was inducted." *Haunted by the spirit of an apprentice betrayed.* Ruborah's Hammer Special light hammer. In combat, uses light hammer proficiency and deals 1d4+str magical bludgeoning damage and 1d4 fire damage. Out of combat, can be used to substitute smith's tools for purposes of hammering. Forgemaster's Gauntlets (attunement) In combat, wearing the Forgemaster's Gauntlets and having attuned to them will upgrade the d4's of damage of the Runecarver's Chisel and Ruborah's Hammer into d8's. Their fire damage will also ignore fire resistance and immunity. While wearing the Gauntlets and wielding the Chisel in one hand and the Hammer in another, the effects of the Dual Wielder feat and Two-Weapon Fighting apply to the wielder. Runecarver's Chisel Special dagger. In combat, uses dagger proficiency and deals 1d4+dex/str magical piercing damage and 1d4 fire damage. Out of combat, can be used to substitute mason's tools for purposes of carving and chiselling. Giantcraft Armcuff x2 Sturdy silver bracelets crafted in a dwarvish-giantish aesthetic. Value: 50gp Flame Echo Keep The forge within Flame Echo Keep is haunted by the spirit of Morkon's apprentice smith and runecarver. Wearing the Forgemaster's Gauntlets, equipping Ruborah's Hammer and the Runecarver's Chisel, and then reading aloud from the Flame Echo Tablet, will cause Ruborah to manifest, wearing the Forgemaster's Garb, which will be equipped by her no matter where it is when she manifests. Whoever summons Ruborah will have her assistance in operating the Flame Echo Forge. If a character meets the ability score requirement for multiclassing into Fighter, Ruborah will be willing to train the character as a Rune Knight. Wielding Ruborah's tools and activating the Flame Echo Forge will allow a character to reforge Morkon's Ambition into Ruborah's Absolution - its necrotic damage becomes radiant. It will also allow a character to reforge Morkon's Promise into Morkon's Atonement - its curse disappears, but the resistance against necrotic damage persists.
